Anne Maria Harrington – Vice Principal Lonsdale House School – Music in the family!
Anne Maria Harrington was the Vice Principal of Lonsdale House school in Norwich. Her father – Philip Harrington – was Arthur Harringtons brother. Arthur was Wyns grandad. The story shows quite a musical talent and quite a traveller. She mothered three of her nephews and nieces, children of her brother stationed in India who had been left a widower. She went to Canada when 75 to see one of the nieces married and stayed with Cannon Hannington who was chaplain to the Duke of Connaught, then the Governor General of Canada.
School is now reported as closed in the 1980’s – now converted to flats:
